Careers

Two full-time positions in London — helping build a UK government-backed national platform at the intersection of culture, policy and AI.

London (Full-time)

Data & Platform Engineer

We're building the technical backbone of a first-of-its-kind, UK government-backed national initiative to create a trusted, secure marketplace connecting the UK's cultural and creative institutions with the AI industry — enabling fair, licensed access to high-value content for AI training at national scale. This is a rare opportunity to shape core infrastructure for a platform that sits at the intersection of public policy, the creative economy, and frontier AI — with real influence over UK creative IP, data rights, and how the country's cultural heritage participates in the AI economy for years to come.

We're looking for a Data & Platform Engineer to help design and build the cloud data architecture powering this initiative — from automated ingestion pipelines pulling market and demand intelligence from external sources, through governed data lake and NoSQL/vector-search layers, to secure, production-grade Azure infrastructure. You'll work closely with a Solutions Architect to take an early-stage prototype into a robust, scalable, government-grade system, with genuine ownership over infrastructure-as-code, data pipeline reliability, and cloud security posture.

What you'll do:

  • Design and build ingestion pipelines (Azure Functions, Python) pulling structured and semi-structured data from external APIs into a bronze/silver/gold data lake pattern
  • Build and evolve a Cosmos DB-based operational data layer, including vector-search-enabled semantic matching
  • Own infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Bicep) for a secure, compliant Azure environment (Key Vault, Managed Identities, VNets, Private Endpoints, RBAC)
  • Collaborate on moving a working prototype into a production-grade, auditable, government-standard platform
  • Contribute to architectural decisions with direct visibility to senior stakeholders

What we're looking for:

  • Strong Python and hands-on production experience with Azure (Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, Functions, networking, Key Vault)
  • Comfort owning a pipeline end-to-end, from design through deployment and monitoring
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and a security-first mindset (this platform will handle sensitive institutional and commercial data)
  • Bonus: exposure to public-sector, regulated, or compliance-heavy environments

London (Full-time)

AI/ML Engineer — Matching & Intelligence Systems

We're building the intelligence layer behind a landmark UK national initiative reshaping how the country's creative and cultural sector engages with the AI industry — a secure, government-backed platform designed to make licensed content exchange between cultural institutions and AI developers fast, fair, and trustworthy at scale. This is a genuinely rare mandate: build the matching and reasoning systems that will directly influence how UK creative IP is valued, discovered, and licensed as AI training data — work with visibility all the way up to national policy stakeholders.

We're looking for an AI/ML Engineer to design and build the semantic matching, agentic reasoning, and recommendation systems that connect AI industry demand with the UK's cultural and creative supply. This means working with LLM-based agent architectures, embedding-based semantic search, and structured, evidence-grounded outputs that a commercial team can act on with confidence — not black-box guesses. You'll be one of the earliest technical hires shaping how this system reasons, and your work will directly inform real commercial and policy decisions.

What you'll do:

  • Design and build LLM agent workflows (e.g. pydantic-ai or equivalent) for matching, valuation support, and metadata enrichment tasks
  • Build and tune embedding pipelines and vector-search-based similarity matching across structured datasets
  • Design structured, confidence-scored, evidence-backed outputs — distinguishing confirmed facts from inference throughout
  • Collaborate closely with a Solutions Architect to evolve a working prototype into a resilient, production-ready reasoning system
  • Help define evaluation approaches to keep agent outputs accurate, explainable, and trustworthy at scale

What we're looking for:

  • Production experience building with LLMs/agent frameworks, not just prototyping
  • Strong grasp of embedding-based semantic search and vector databases
  • A rigorous, evidence-first mindset — this system informs real commercial and policy decisions, so explainability matters more than flash
  • Bonus: experience in regulated, public-sector, or high-stakes-accuracy domains
